Terms of Service
The rules for building, publishing and chatting with AI agents on Agentbase.
This is an early-access product. Features change often, and we will update this page when they do.

About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Polymath Labs, which operates Agentbase (“Agentbase”, “we”, “us”). They apply when you use agentbase.so, a published agent page, an agent chat embedded on another website, or an agent on a messaging channel. By using Agentbase you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information.
We call people who build agents creators and people who chat with them visitors.
Who can use Agentbase
You must be at least 13 years old to use Agentbase, or at least 16 in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. To create a creator account you must be an adult who can enter into a binding contract. If you use Agentbase for a business or other organisation, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf.
Accounts
Creators sign in through our authentication provider, Clerk. Keep your sign-in details secure and give us accurate information. You are responsible for activity in your account. Visitors can chat without an account and may choose to sign in with a one-time email link. Tell us through our Contact page if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Your agents and content (creators)
You keep ownership of what you put into Agentbase: your instructions, sources, settings and other content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, display and transmit that content, including sending it to AI model providers, only as needed to run Agentbase and your agents and to show your published agents to the public. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep for legal reasons or that remain for a limited time in backups.
As a creator, you are responsible for your agents. You agree that:
- You have the rights and permissions needed for every source you add, including files, websites and videos, and your use of them does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
- You will not present an agent as a real person, or as the official voice of a real person, brand or organisation, unless you are that person or have their permission. Do not tell an agent to claim it is human.
- Your agents and the way you promote them comply with the law, including consumer protection, advertising disclosure and privacy law, and with the rules of any messaging platform you connect.
- You will review how your agent answers, especially on topics like health, law or money, and make clear to your audience that it gives general information, not professional advice.
- You can see the conversations people have with your agents. You will use that information only to run and improve your agent, and you will handle it lawfully.
- If you connect apps or give your agent tools that fetch web addresses or act in other services, you are responsible for what your agent can do with them and for the information they receive from conversations.
Chatting with agents (visitors)
Each agent is built and published by a creator. You are chatting with an AI, not with the creator personally, unless the creator clearly says otherwise. The creator decides what the agent is for and can see your conversation with it.
We may limit how many messages you can send, for example until you sign in with your email. Do not share information you would not want the creator or our service providers to process.
Acceptable use
You must not use Agentbase, or build an agent, to:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- harass, threaten, bully or promote hatred or violence against anyone;
- create or share sexual content involving minors, or encourage self-harm;
- deceive people, including phishing, fraud, scams, or collecting passwords or payment details under false pretences;
- impersonate a person or organisation, or mislead people about who is behind an agent;
- infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, or share other people’s personal information without a lawful reason;
- send spam, distribute malware, or attack, overload or probe our systems or anyone else’s;
- get around message limits, rate limits or other restrictions, scrape the service, or try to access another creator’s private instructions, sources or conversations;
- make decisions that significantly affect people, such as medical, legal, financial, employment or housing decisions, based only on AI output; or
- breach the usage policies of the AI model providers we use.
We may remove content, unpublish or pause agents, or limit accounts that break these rules or put people at risk. To report an agent, use our Contact page and include its link.
AI replies
Agent replies are generated automatically by third-party AI models using the creator’s instructions and sources. Neither we nor the creator review each reply before you see it. Replies can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or offensive, and may not reflect the creator’s or our views.
AI replies are not medical, legal, financial, mental health or other professional advice. Check important information with a qualified professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services. You are responsible for how you use what an agent tells you.
Early access and availability
Agentbase is in early access and is provided “as is” and “as available”. Features may change, be limited or be removed, and the service may be interrupted or lose data. Keep your own copies of the sources you upload. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Paid features
Agentbase is free to use during early access. Paid plans shown on our site are not yet available to buy, and we do not charge for anything today. Before we charge you for anything, we will show you the price and any additional terms, and you will need to agree to them.
Third-party services
Agentbase works with services we do not control, such as the messaging platforms and apps you connect, websites you link to and the AI model providers that generate replies. Their own terms and policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.
Our service and feedback
Agentbase, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in it beyond using the service as allowed here. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Ending your use
You can stop using Agentbase at any time and ask us to delete your account through our Contact page. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we must do so by law, or if your use creates risk for other people or for us. We may also change or stop offering Agentbase, and will try to give reasonable notice when we can. Sections that by their nature should continue after your use ends, such as the disclaimers and limits of liability, will continue.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Agentbase or from AI replies. Our total liability for any claim relating to Agentbase is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Agentbase in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
If you are a creator, you are responsible for claims that arise from your content or your agents breaking these terms or the law, and you will cover our reasonable costs from such claims to the extent the law allows.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or removes rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Agentbase changes and will show the new date at the top. If a change is significant, we will let you know on the site or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Agentbase after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Polymath Labs is established, except where the law of the country you live in requires otherwise. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
